On April 20th, TEECS celebrated Earth Day. The day started off with their student council students reading about Earth Day and the importance of playing outside during morning announcements. The day continued on with students decorating their own reusable canvas bags and having some extra time outside. In addition the schools Green Team planted some trees and installed No idling signs. TEECS staff and students also wore “green” for the day. During lunchtime and snack time students were encouraged to use metal utensils and reusable containers and bottles. Teachers throughout the week have worked hard with incorporating Earth Day in their lessons and students have prepared beautiful artwork as well. To end our school day TEECS kindergarten classes had a solar cook out. Overall the day was a huge success !
