02 May TEECS Plays Ball!
On Saturday, April 27, 2019, Thomas Edison EnergySmart Charter School’s PTO held one of its biggest fundraising events of the year during the Somerset Patriots Opening Day doubleheader.
The TEECS cheer squad performed a few routines for the crowd and the glee club sang the National Anthem. TEECS’ Head of Security, Nick Gargas stepped in for TEECS’ Lead Person, Oguz Yildiz and threw out the first pitch.
The TEECS PTO is raising money for a new high school science lab and other things not covered in the school’s budget. This year and next they will run many different fundraisers such as dine-outs at area restaurants, bowling nights, and many more events geared towards bringing the TEECS community together.
