07 Jan TEECS is the Congressional Debate & Oratory Tournament Champions!!
On Saturday, January 4, 2020, TEECS’ Speech and Debate Team (Yusra, Moiez, Nakul, Akshat, Ayesha, Anika, and Sudip) participated in the Summit Hilltopper Classic Tournament held at Hunterdon Central Regional High School. Moiez and Akshat advanced to the Congress finals and were placed 12th and 1st, respectively. Anika advanced to the finals and was placed 1st in Original Oratory Speech event.

The Hunterdon Central Regional High School Speech & Debate Team prepared the Hunterdon Central Winter Invitational. Competitions were offered in all 11 New Jersey Individual Events including Declamation (open to 9th and 10th grade students only), Dramatic Interpretation, Duo Interpretation, Extemporaneous Speaking, Humorous Interpretation, Impromptu Speaking, Improvisational Acting, Informative Speaking, Oral Interpretation, Original Oratory, and Program Oral Interpretation. In addition, Novice, Junior Varsity, and Varsity Divisions of Lincoln Douglas, Parliamentary, and Public Forum Debate were offered, as well as Congressional Debate.
