11 Feb Thomas Edison Birthday Celebration with Sheriff & 7th Generation Ancestors
Today, February 11, 2020, Somerset County Sherrif, Darrin Russo, visited Thomas Edison EnergySmart Charter School and helped us celebrate Thomas Edison’s Birthday.
He visited the Kindergarten classes where he was presented with a student made thank you card,
our 5th and 6th grade students prepared a skit and presentation about Thomas Edison’s achievements,
Sheriff Russo presented Honor Roll and High Honor Roll certificates to our High School students, and
students on the robotics teams prepared a robot presentation.
To end the day, Sheriff Russo and two of our students, who are 7th generation descendants of Thomas Edison, cut the cake for all to enjoy!
