18 Feb On Friday, February 14th, TEECS Celebrated Valentine’s Day.
Students came to school dressed down in pink and red, held friendship parties, made crafts and performed experiments. TEECS’ 5th graders created corner bookmarks while the 2nd graders performed an experiment to predict whether a candy heart would float or sink in different liquids including Sprite, water, vinegar, and vegetable oil. The results surprised them!
The staff at TEECS also recognized the day with a team-building activity of pizza and paint. TEECS’ Green Team hosted the wellness event to let everyone’s creative juices flow while offering wellness items to take home. Some of the items included stress ball/phone holders, eye/face masks, head massagers, ChapStick, notepads, and bath bombs.
