10 Sep 20th Anniversary of Sept.11th – American Flag Design on Soccer Field
On Friday, September 10, 2021 the students at Thomas Edison EnergySmart Charter School participated in a “Red, White and Blue” dress down to signify their patriotism and commemorate the anniversary of 9/11/2001 to design American Flag on soccer field.
For generations to come, the anniversary of 9/11 is a big lesson to us about unity and resilience in response to the greatest of hardship and tragedy.
Students gathered for a 20-minute assembly on the school’s soccer field, as it is the 20th Anniversary of the tragic events of that day. The students were arranged into rows on the field based on the colors of American Flag they were wearing to signify the shape of an American flag.
The assembly closed at 9:11 am with the National Anthem. TEECS is proud to recognize this significance of this day each year with a special way for us to show our love of country.
