TEECS Students at Seton Hall Annual Sister Rose Thering Fund Essay Competition Awards Ceremony

This Sunday, Ayesha Amir and Aashay Sankhe were recognized by Seton Hall University for their excellent essays on the topic of unity and hope. The essays were a response to a documentary presented in Mr. Gross’ English classes and were submitted to Seton Hall for selection by the Sister Rose Thering Fund.

Ayesha Amir received the first place award for 11th grade and Aashay Sankhe received honorable mention. As part of the event, students were given a tour of the campus, received a speech from a survivor of the Holocaust, and Ayesha was given the opportunity to read her speech for the audience. It was a wonderful chance for the students to tour the campus and be recognized for their work!
