TEECS 8th grade student, Lasya Voonna, was nominated for NASA’s “You’ve Got Perseverance!” Award

TEECS 8th grade student, Lasya Voonna, was nominated for NASA’s “You’ve Got Perseverance!” Award by her science teacher Ms. Suarez. On March 24th she was officially selected as a winner, and by April 5th, she was invited to a virtual ceremony to receive NASA’s “You’ve Got Perseverance!” award. Lasya was given the opportunity to speak to scientists from NASA and ask her own personal questions live on zoom. After announcing the winners, NASA explained how they sent a message to the rover, and received it back for each of the winners. Lasya received a message from the planet Mars by NASA’s rover “Perseverance”! Congratulations Lasya!
