TEECS SECURITY UPDATE

TEECS SECURITY UPDATE

May 25, 2022

Dear TEECS Families,

It is with a heavy heart that the TEECS community sends the students and parents of the Robb Elementary School and to all the Uvalde, Texas community members our prayers and deepest sympathies.  There is no reasonable explanation for these senseless acts of violence on our young students and adults.

We would like to assure the students, parents and faculty members of TEECS that the School Administration, Security Team and Counselors are working in conjunction with each other to keep the students and faculty safe from harm, both physically and mentally.

Our Security Team is composed of all former law enforcement officers, each with over 25 years of experience. All Security Guards carry sidearms and are licensed to do so under New Jersey statutes. Our Security Team, as well as all faculty members, are given training according to State and Local guidelines and are tasked with keeping the students at TEECS safe and secure. TEECS employs the latest technology in video surveillance and scanning software to assist in keeping the school secure.

Please see the next page for a list of resources to help children, families, educators, and communities.  TEECS Counselors will be available to speak with, or see any student with an open-door policy. If a student is in need of or knows someone in need of the counselor’s services, they can be contacted at cconti@energysmartschool.org or glong@energysmartschool.org.

If you have any questions or concerns, please feel to contact us at security@energysmartschool.org.

Thank you,

TEECS’ Security Team
