Thomas Edison EnergySmart Charter School

Thomas Edison EnergySmart Charter School is continuing to spread school spirit. Each week is a theme for its students to have some fun and feel connected to their classmates, teachers and school. Each day students and parents upload photos of themselves enjoying the theme and those photos are posted and shared on Facebook.

Monday, March 30, was Scavenger Hunt Day, where students were encouraged to hunt for a specific list of items around the house.

Tuesday, March 31, was Tropical Tuesday where students were encouraged to wear their favorite vacation clothes.

Wednesday, April 1, was April Fools’ Day, where students were encouraged to share their favorite jokes.

Thursday, April 2, was Real-Life Superhero Day, where students were encouraged to make signs or record a message to their favorite superhero (nurses, doctors, grocery clerks, policemen, firemen, military, etc.).

Friday, April 3, was Fan Friday, where students were encouraged to show support for their favorite sports team.

These are uncharted waters for schools but TEECS realizes that it’s their responsibility to ensure its students are taken care of, not just academically, but socially and emotionally.
