Alternate Transportation

TEECS is committed to keeping our air clean. In conjunction with our Anti-Idling Policy, TEECS encourages carpooling. In 2019, we assigned one day as Carpool Day. In just one day, we noticed a reduction in cars at am drop-off from 148 vehicles to 121. We calculated that TEECS prevented 265 gallons or 117,752.75 grams of CO2 from being released into the atmosphere. In addition, the release of a smaller amount of Methane and Nitrous Oxide were also avoided, and approximately 13.25 gallons of gasoline went unused.

TEECS also participates in the National Walk or Bike to School Day. We have installed a bike rack by the main entrance for any students living close enough to bike to school. This rack can hold at least 9 bikes.
