School Garden

TEECS school garden, named Green Pride, is maintained by the Green Teams with help from family volunteers over the summer months. Students and team leaders use material from TEECS’ compost to fertilize the soil and water from TEECS’ rain barrel to keep everything growing.

In the future, we hope to have a greenhouse built around the garden, so that we can harvest all year long. Some of our previous harvests have included flowers, cherry tomatoes, eggplant, cucumber, string beans, red pepper, green paper, and a few herbs provided to the kitchen.
