Somerset, NJ—Thomas Edison EnergySmart Charter School (TEECS) announced a building expansion in it’s future. On Saturday, February 6, 2021, the school held held its 2021-2022 lottery and received 1040 of applications for the 2021-2022 session.

“As we work to welcome new students and staff next year, we are also excited to be able to start work on our building expansion project,” said Oguz Yildiz, Lead Person at TEECS. “This project has been in talks for over a year. This past month, we received the great news that we have been approved by Franklin Township and all our hard work has paid off!”

The TEECS building extension will include additional classrooms, bathrooms, offices, an auditorium and additional covered parking.

“We could not be more excited for our future growth,” adds Yildiz. “We want to thank all our families and staff for their hard work and patience as we grow our school. In addition, we would like to thank the community for their support!”
